Here is a MacMillan Hunting Weathered (the one on the right ). The tartan is from Dalgliesh so would also be called "Reproduction" colors by them. There are a lot of nice ones out there, enjoy your search.

I believe you have posted a pic of that kilt previously Brooke, it is very sharp.
I really like it paired with the waistcoat.

    That is an amazing kilt.

I am anxiously awaiting my hunting weathered MacIntosh from John @ Keltoi. Should be any day now. Will post a picture when it arrives.

Not exactly a weathered tartan but it is quite brown. This is the 'Randonnée Bretonne' (Brittany Walking) tartan. It lacks the grey you find in weathered/reproduction tartans but it's lovely all the same. This is a 13oz machine sewn 8 yd pleated to sett and I love it as you can probably tell...

    Close up of the sett.

    Kilt in close up.

    The Kilt on (again)

There is another chap from round these here parts who has one too ('tis where I got my inspiration from to be honest).

I have a kilt of MacLean tartan weathered, which I quite like. Weathered dosn't automatically mean browns and greys and very earthy tones.

    Addendum to my earlier post:

One of my uncle's had a jacket made up in MacLean hunting tartan weathered. I have enough cloth to make a kilt up, if I choose. Some days I like it; other days I don't. It certainly is brown.

You are quite right Sandy, I didn't mean to imply they were. The Bruce Weathered by Lochcarron is also a red based tartan and I would love a Kilt in that.
