Can a MacFarlane wear a Smith kilt? I thought I read this somewhere but now I can't remember the connection.

If you have MacFarlane in the family tree, it's pretty likely there's a Scottish connection.

You'd probably have to look at his whole genealogy to determine where a Gordon or Smith connection might be.

    Smith vs MacLeod?

On MacLeod, Red crosses on Green and Yellow crosses on Blue. Is there some other big difference?
Some take the high road and some take the low road. Who's in the gutter? MacLowlife

Smith-red and yellow alternate on green, light blue in every blue, no black guards on red and yellow stripes

Macleod of Harris- red on green, yellow on blue, black guards on red and yellow stripes.
