The kilt (I assume we are talking tartan here) is a country's national attire, the kilt does belong to a culture, the kilt does have deep and significant historical meanings to a nation and others with connections to that nation. Are you aware of this?

So do you not think that you should bare that in mind and perhaps modify your thoughts on how you wear your kilt?

You don't think so? OK, carry on wearing a skirt and be well aware that you are upsetting some people, or you are causing them great amusement to which derision often follows.
