That only seems like yesterday Rob. That was a good day.
Here is another pic from the last time you came to visit .... In search of a pint at

    The Goose & Cuckoo ...

Would be great if you could make our folk festival Sept 16/17th Rob. There are some great bands and artistes booked for this year.

Isn't that the truth. My kilt cost a fair bob and I'd hate to wreck that one for sure.

Now, the kilt I had whilst in the regiment was solid as a church! It was something like 18 or 20oz black watch fabric, and I think you'd be hard pressed to tear that one up!

    Re: To much

I look at my kilts in two ways. The ones I might hand down through the generations I take a wee ( stress the wee ) bit more care of, and the others I put some hard wear on. I tend to think of them ina similar fashio as a photo album. Years after I've shifted off this mortal coil people will look through them; my kilts and my photos, and say "If only they could talk, what amazing stories they could tell" When I look at your kilt I think that if it could speak for itself it would beam with pride for the adventures it's gone on and wear its damges like a well earned scar.

Now that being said if you wished to repair said scar it might be possible to have a new apron spliced onto the kilt. If done properly you wouldn't notice the repair and could hang the old apron up as a conversaition piece.
