This is just my opinion, but I don't like being forced to advertise for someone else. If you have a quality product and stand by your work, I will spread the word for your company as often as I can (ask Bear). Even if you remove the logo you will probably still have some indication that it was there.
I couldn't agree more Colin. Being forced into being a walking bilboard would put me off buying a product. Well I lie, I have t-shirts and a motorcycle jacket with logos, but that's about it. I would never ever buy a Kilt with a logo on it. I know that quality work gets its own attention. People are always asking where I got my Kilts made and I think that is better than just having a sign telling them where. The reason being the people asking will now get a personnal chat about the product. Not that I am a sales person at all I just like to give Bear more work. Got to keep him busy so it takes longer and longer to get a Kilts made.
I even have a problem with embroided emblems on kilts, and I refer particularly to the welsh tartan centre kilt which sport either a dragon or st davids cross.
If I want to adorn the kilt with something I can do it with a removable/interchangeable kilt pin. Or wear a rugby or t shirt.
