Re: Kilts in new Sherlock Holmes

Cool! Robert Downey Jr. is great actor indeed, with a remarkable come-back too, but as for playing Sherlock Holmes, he is definitely no Jeremy Brett - my favourite! However, Downey displays quite an impressive portrayal of the master sleuth, in his own, unique "Downey-kind-of-way," which I admire.

I am looking forward to seeing the movie.

    Cordially,

Don't forget that one actor who portrayed Mr. Holmes was a "kiltie" -- Basil Rathbone of the Liverpool Scottish:

I knew you were going to bring up old Basil, Todd!!! He was good, but I still prefer Jeremy Brett - there's just something about his portrayal of Holmes that seems so honest, and true to the literary work.
