Gray is fine if you like it, but it is no more formal for THCD than any other tweed.
Thank goodness, sense at last! Why stick with boring greys and the "regulation" charcoal when there are so many varieties of greens and browns of dozens of combinations and shades to choose from! Then add reds and blues and the choice is never ending! If you care to look at my old threads you will find one under the heading of "The Tweed Argyll", you may find the posts helpful.
Perhaps a kind soul might come up with the link thingy?
