I especially like this one because my very first experience with driving in Scotland involved
    crossing this bridge,
    at rush hour,
from the (ahem) wrong side of the car,
    shifting with my left hand,
driving on the "other" side of the road
-- with the fog and everything.

Most incredible and a favored memory...

For me, that was the hardest thing to get used to. Driving on the 'wrong' side of the road wasn't a problem at all.

I had that problem the first time I drive in the US too... except I also had to contend with an automatic for the first time... The number of times I went to wind down the window when I felt I needed to change gears...

The Tay Road Bridge. Photo taken while we were on holiday Aug 2011.

2250 metres in length, the Tay Road Bridge spans the estuary of the River Tay between Dundee and Newport on Tay. The bridge was designed by William A Fairhurst and was opened to traffic on 18th August 1966 having taken 4 years to build.
