Scott, you've put together one HECK of an outfit there, my friend! The hose and waistcoat look a treat, for sure! Can't wait to see the themed sporran!

And also, it does my heart much good to finally SEE someone else wear this tartan! I've felt like the lone cultist for two months!

    May WE be eaten first,

    Ryan

EDIT: I see that you also opted to pleat to "***"; the finest choice, IMHO.

Thanks Mike. I obviously took my cue from HRH Price Charles in the cut of the waistcoat. It goes fairly well with the Argyll, but when I finally get around to having my velvet doublet made up, the waistcoat will REALLY make the outfit.

I did indeed have it pleated to the "Colour Out of Space". It's funny, in many lighting conditions the stripe is either purple, or just not there at all, but when I hold up the original test yarn from Dalgliesh next to the sett, it's quite obvious that it is a very dark, ashy, green. It may be my favorite part of the current colours of the sett.

I didn't mean to leave you hanging out there to potentially be eaten first all by your lonesome, I just thought I'd wait and make a splash entrance when all the goodies arrived.

Ryan, I gots mine yesterday. But by bedtime I was still so busy with phone calls and emails from co-workers and various alphabet agencies regarding security coordination for the President of Israel's address at my workplace (where I'm the Director of Security) tonight that I didn't even get to open the box. Just back a while ago from tonight's operation, just got it out of the box. It's beautiful!

Pics later. Matt's Rob Roy (film) tartan tweed kilt was in the same box, and. . .honestly. . .I think I'll be wearing and photographing that one first.
