    Re: Triskaidekaphobia - Joshua's Training

Travelling up North for work this weekend until Thursday. Since I'm going to miss my Saturday weightlifting session (St. Pats), I started looking for gyms.

Who knew there was more than one olympic weightlifting gym in the Baltimore/Jessup/Columbia area of Maryland?

So, tomorrow I train a little, and next week (since I'm all alone in a hotel and am choosing not to go out drinking after work) I train a lot.

    Re: Triskaidekaphobia - Joshua's Training

Awesome day on powersnatch and squats. I felt like crap, nasty headache and everything felt really heavy - but I still bested my numbers by last week by 5 kilos. I would like to see myself pull a 100kg powersnatch this year.

    Powersnatch:
    2x3 @ 40kg
    1x3 @ 50kg
    1x3 @ 55kg
    2x2 @ 60kg
    1x2 @ 65kg
    2x1 @ 70kg
    2x1 @ 75kg
    2x1 @ 77.5kg/170.5lbs
    1x1 @ 80kg/176lbs

    Backsquat
    1x3 @ 90kg
    1x3 @ 105kg
    1x2 @ 110kg
    1x2 @ 120kg/264lbs
    1x2 @ 130kg/286lbs
    1x1 @ 140kg/308lbs

Cooldown was quite literal, jumping into a very cold pool for about 15 minutes.

Might as well put the time to good use!

    I.FOUND.GYM.MECCA

Little gym around Columbia, MD called "the Colosseum". This place has an old York weightlifting bar (like mine) and a full set of Werksan Bumpers.

I must admit, I overdid it. But it was ALOT of fun. I went ahead and paid for a week pass, so now I'm going to have to go back, regardless of how sore I am tomorrow. Finishing off eating grocery store food (chicken, pork pate, and spinach).

    Warmup:
    Powersnatch + Hang PowerSnatch+ 2 Overhead Squats
    2x3 @ 40kg

    Powersnatch:
    1x3 @ 50kg
    1x2 @ 55kg
    1x1 @ 60kg
    1x3 @ 55kg
    1x2 @ 60kg
    1x1 @ 65kg

    Snatch (Squat Snatch):
    2x2 @ 50kg

    Power Cleans:
    1x3 @ 70kg
    1x2 @ 80kg
    1x1 @ 90kg
    1x1 @ 95kg
    1x1 @ 100kg

    Clean Pulls
    1x5 @ 110kg / 242lbs
    1x3 @ 140kg / 308lbs

    Front Squats
    1x1 @ 100kg / 220lbs
    1x1 @ 105kg / 232lbs
    1x1 @ 110kg / 242lbs
    1x1 @ 120kg / 264lbs

    Landmines:
    2x6 @ 25kg

    Box Jumps:
    5 @ 21"
    5 @ 24"
    5 @ 27"
    3 @ 30"
    3 @ 33"
