In a word, to quote Marcelle Marceau from "Silent Movie", NO.

The only time I have ever seen one I thought was "cute" was on my son when he was just a little over a year old, worn with his infant kilt, at a minor highland games event.

But that is just one man's O. Boxers and briefs, y'know?

I have to admit that while not with a kilt, they can be appealing on a fella with say a nice pair of tight jeans. A little pirate-y maybe, but I can admit to a little moisture at the mental image.

I have one, and occasionally wear it with one of my kilts. Usually at a highland games, but once in a while taking the wife out to dinner. It is comfortable and allows me to move. If you don't like it, don't wear it, but leave off those who do.

    OH, MY!

Frankly, I don't mind the look if I can ignore the historical fudgery that is involved in marketing them. Which I just... can't...do. Two very important ladies in my life love them, so I expect I'll receive one as a gift at some point. If that happens, I'll wear one to the local RenFaire.

Well its incredibly close so far, much closer than what I thought it was going to be. so far we have -

    Like them 8
    no definitely nots 7
and wear what you want 6

*** for extra moisture ooh err.

I didnt think that it would be quite so close, as recent threads are quite dismissive of said garment. I might not be quite so embarrassed when I wear mine in future.

I actually do that. I sometimes go to school with jeans and the loose shirt. With that and my long hair, I look like a smaller version of Fabio

I have a couple of Jacobite/Highlander shirts that I wear mostly while in costume at Ren fairs. Although, I have worn them with a utilty kilt for setup and tear down of our encampments just for the comfort factor.

I wore white hose to a non-piping occasion - Easter Dinner - recently.

I think they're fine. I'm suprised some seem to hate them so much?
I plan to get one or two down the road for certain looks. It's just a shirt for crying out loud.
And, apparently, they on occasion make women "moist". Can't argue with that!

I've never thought too much about them either way other than that I never saw them as my style. Though it has been suggested that I get one myself or one will magically appear.

    But I don't WANNA be a pirate!

If/when, I get one, I don't think I could pair it with a kilt. But the idea of it being a nightshirt does sound especially comfortable!
