Heather MacDonald likes kilts a little bit shorter.

Heather, currently ranked #7 in North America, i believe, also wears tights when it's cold.

Heather and one of those awesome Icelandic women....note the difference in kilt length.

Melissa Geniasauki is notorious for wearing outrageously short kilts.

That one is a custom job, I've seen it. It's actually half lace. Seriously...half tartan, half lace. It completely scandalized the old fogies at the local Caledonian Club last year. Melissa is no longer throwing, she's seriously hurt her back, which is a trajedy.

Our local Amazon, and CHAC thrower and good friend to many in the Nor Cal Rabble, Bethany Owen, wears a black-and-flame contemporary kilt that I made for her.

Mindy Pockoski, who until she semi-retired 2 years ago to start her family, owned I think 4 world records in the Games.... she's a lovely, lovely woman, and the nicest person you could imagine.

Mindy, completely mortified while Mike expresses his inner artistic acrobat dancer on the field.... LOL.Anyway, you can see how short, or not, her kilt is in that picture.

Mindy in 2009, after breaking the world record in weight over bar...

Setting the world record in LWFD...

and finally, future World Champ in the making.... GGGP shows it all off!

that kilt hits her about mid-thigh when she's behaving herself..

There you go. That should give you some idea.
