I doubt if it's the kilt.

Weeelll - once I was walking along the row of shops near us and passed a young couple, she was wearing a narrow strip of denim for a skirt and a couple of handkerchieves worth of fabric for a blouse and it was losing the fight to stay closed - I was almost out of earshot when he enquired 'why doesn't your skirt move like that?'

Pictures. It didn't happen without pictures. Remember?

One of the most surprising reactions I've had was from a young African American man. I was wearing my kilt with a t-shirt and Doc Marten boots and he asked me, "Are you Rowdy Roddy Piper's dad?"

Heard by my wife yesterday who happened to be 10 yards behind me. I just love the Aussie's.

This past Sunday as I was walking home from church a young couple pulled up along side me as I was waiting for the light to change, the male passenger asked if I was Sottish. I told him I had Scottish ancestry. The female driver asked "Do they really wear kilts?" No, she wasn't a blonde. She was a brunette. They drove away before I could come up with an answer .

I walked into the Doctor's office to have some lab work done and the Receptionist looked up and with a big smile on her face said "Sweet, a Cameron kilt." Never charged me for the visit and when I went in for the follow-up visit with my doctor, I was again kilted. This time my Doctor was in the reception area and took me back to the exam room. When I mentioned to her that I wasn't charged for the lab work and hadn't paid for this visit she told me that as long as I wore the Cameron kilt to my medical appointments, I'll never get charged a co-pay. Come to find out her maiden name was Cameron.

To bad she retired and the company I work for changed medical plans. . .

Maybe not the best--but the most recent:

Standing next to my wife just before throwing stone at the games of a recent festival. A woman literally stalks me then swoops in and says, "Can I touch your...calf?" I point to my wife and say, "You need to ask her". My wife sighs and says, "yesssssss" and rolls her eyes. The woman squeezes my calf, giggles and leaves. My wife looks at me and says, "you'd better throw far today!"

Now that's a medical plan I could get behind!
