Along with the Body Glide, Duluth Trading Co. Buck Naked Boxer Briefs or just the boxers. These are light, moisture wicking, and non-compressing. They have sizes for the stout.

This is what I use. http://www.2toms.com/sportshield/
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

Weeeellll Ill try to keep it simple and clean here... Monkey butt is a name given to the chaffing of your .... back side cheeks. When you have it you know it and you feel like those monkeys seen on the television with the big red rears. Ive run, climbed, hiked, mountaineered and done many other things that can create the environment for a bad case of monkey butt. Usually you are fine hiking for hours until that moment you may let a bit of gas slip out, this is usually the catalyst to the moisture to spawn a case of monkey butt. Im sure all the creams and salves recommended here can help but you best put it on quick or suffer every time you walk or sit........

Yes last year was the first time I saw Monkey Butt powder at my local ACE hardware store. Perhaps too many carpenters wearing jeans in the heat are getting monkey butt

    From their website:
"Anti Monkey Butt Powder is specially formulated to absorb excess sweat and reduce frictional skin irritation. It is Ideal for butt busting activities such as truck driving, motorcycling, bicycling, horse back riding, and extreme sports. May also be applied inside footwear, under sports pads, and other areas prone to chafing. Indoors or outdoors, work or play, or on occasions when you sit on your butt all day, don’t let your buns get red, use Anti Monkey Butt Powder instead!"

Personally i like it when i'm not going to sweat because its stays dry. However on a hot and humid day I would have to keep reapplying it.

Many thanks to whoever clued me in to Body Glide. Can't get it in my little town but whenever I'm up in Flagstaff (135 miles one way) I stock up on it. Saves the day for this olde fat man. Course around here its a dry heat. But I've used in on Maui and Cancun with good results too. Try some, buy some. Think you can order it on line.

I've noticed they put an expiration date on each thingie. Be careful not to buy the old stuff. Seems like it lasts for years in the original package.

My wife's answer to that is usually, "So's an oven; doesn't mean I want to live there."
