Hi David, I don't have any experience with that particular kilt roll. I have one from the kilter co., which I use when I travel it keeps the kilt nice and goes into a soft tube the zips with a sholder strap very handy. It all depends on how you are going to travel and how formal the events you are going to. If you are travelling mostly in a casual way then it would be great, if you are gotin to be travelling and need to pack jackets and the like then some sort of garmet bag would be better so that you can pack kilt, jackets, sporrans and your other accoutrements. As a side note I own some items from gaelic themes GT and have been quite happy with them.
