I am using Gorilla glue. It seems to be holding rather well. Just a very thin...very thin layers as that stuff expands a bit when dry and I don't want to make the sporran too bulky.

Yes, it is 3 inches. I carry a lot of items and I wanted a wee bit of space....lol

Finally attaching the back and flap to the sporran. After it's done, I will post a picture of me wearing it this Saturday to the opera.
