    Harold, allow me.
The Mkl model is the latest you have purchased, with the silver metal dimples and the pull up, latch spring, opening.
The MKll model is the all brass cantle with the push down opening catch
The MKlll model is the same as the MKll bur silver plated
The MKlV is all brass with the push down opening latch but with smaller dimples on the front and slighty thinner brass used
The MK1 bags were held on with 5 nipples on each side of cantle frame and the apart from one I have seen on this forum, the other models generally had 4 nipples on each side of the cantle frame
The first were issued in 1953 in order that there was uniformaty in the Highland ranks for the Queens coronation.
I cannot say for sure as to when the last were made, but issue bags for them were being made in 1968.
On ebay I see a number of the MKlV's incorrectly being advertised as MKll's

BTW Congratualtions on obtaining one of the MK1's Harold, I await to see one of your bag creations on it
