Thank you all for your very pleasing comments I am glad you like it. To show a bit more context here is a picture of the belt side by side with a standard size 2 1/4 inch luxury brown leather kilt belt. You can see its not for the faint hearted, However they do standard width kilt belts with a selection of designs including the design I chose. For your info the belt only cost £15 more than the standard brown belt shown below, which for a hand made, hand dyed top quality leather is somewhat of a bargain.

Thanks for posting this close up picture. I really love that design, I have the same one on one of the rings I wear. I even tell the wife I am going to get it for a tat on my shoulder. LOL! I am tat free. Chicken I guess.

Thanks Chas, I am really pleased with the way the colours have turned out. Wasn't quite sure when I ordered it as you dont really get an accurate rendition on screen but having chatted with Debby who actually made the set she said it was a really good combination and really shows of the design to great effect.

I also have a very high opinion of Centaur Design who are based in a wee workshop in the grounds of Traquair House. Thy made me a very fine silver-plated kilt belt buckle about 18 years ago and, more recently, made my son a fine buckle in brass. Their prices are very reasonable.

Unfortunately, the Centaur web page seems to have a programming bug, in the processing of a VISA card (it keeps insisting I need to fill out a couple fields required for a Maestro, that are not needed for VISA), but I sent an email to them to see what they'd suggest. I'll likely end up calling them. I have my eye on the standard width belt that the OP liked for it's pattern, along with one of their brass buckles. Would look outstanding, I think, paired with a pair of 8yd tanks that I just ordered.

For a second, I thought I had my arm around your waist--then realized that I wasn't experiencing the righteous pummeling that would follow if I even tried to get that cozy.
Look closely:
