Is it my imagination or is the cable pattern on last year's Rannoch "finer" than this year's? The new pattern looks a bit coarser - more like the Lewis.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Not your imagination. The cable pattern on the current hose style is a bit larger than previous.

I just received my HofC Rannoch Orange hose and they are exactly as I expected/hoped. The orange color (more precisely, ancient red, as Kyle pointed out) matches perfectly with the orange stripes in the Ancient MacFarlane and Ancient Duncan kilts (Lochcarron Strome cloth).

They are a bit duller and less red than my eyes see in the pictures above. So, now when I want to be matchy-matchy, nothing can stop me.

Also, I really like the more refined cabling in the (now old) Rannoch line, and I saved a few bucs to boot! Thanks, Matt. Now that I have my camera back, I'll post a picture next time I "hitch up".
