My Wife, the Boy, and I will be ther Friday at The Celtic around 6p Friday evening.
Will plan on being there for the meet up Saturday at 1p at the STM tent for a meet and greet and photo op.
Will probably be spending half the rest of the day at the Forrester Clan tent, the only chance I get to rub elbows with those folks in any given year. Although Wife has determined that we as a family will be together scaling the heights of the big Stone sometime that afternoon.
Will look for you all there.
Jeff

This will be our first time. Driving down from Virginia on Friday. Due to some uncertainty at work, we didn't pre-purchase tickets, but I understand we can drop by the Hilton and pick them up on Friday at the pre-purchase price before 5 PM. Does anyone have experience with this? Any gotchas?

I rarely buy in advance, Tuirc, and like Thomas H said, it's only an extra 3 bucks, so I wouldn't make a special trip just to buy a ticket. The gas would cost more. Ha.
And Jeff, the walk up the mountain makes for a very nice outing, but be sure to take a canteen along. There's no water until you get all the way up, and even in the low 70s (great weather prediction), it'll get warm going up in the sun. Take a stick, too.
Can't wait to see you guys Friday PM.

Hey Guys... John Rickman here...
Did they change the Ticket Prices ??? On the www.SMHG.org Event Flyer it says that the Ticket Prices at the Gate are $17.00 on Saturday and $15.00 on Sunday. If there has been a price change, Stone Mountain needs to update their web site.
Oh and since Jim is talking about Climbing the Rock..., The Great S.E.K.S. should try to get a NEW Stone Mountain Highland Games Event started for the 40th Anniversary of the Games. I Propose that we try to get the Games Committee to set up "The FIRST Great South-Eastern Kilted Highlands ROCK Climb" !!! Can you picture it ??? Hundreds of Southern Kilted Kussins, all Climbing to the top of Stone Mountain, ALL AT THE SAME TIME !!! I guarantee that it would be all over the Evening New Channels !!!
Sounds Like FUN TO ME !!! Let's Do It !!!
Later Folks...

Actually, we don't need the Games Committee. We ought to make it happen ourselves. Carpe Diem, my friend.
