I'm with Matt on this one.
........though I personally don't have a fly plaid and have no intention or reason to wear one.

I wore one out to dinner and drinks with Kyle this past Saturday just because I wanted to. Had no problems at all with it, and it was pretty breezy outside too. If I was a dancing type, I could see where it could get in the way.

I got one to go with my 5 (?) yd box pleat, and so far, my lady love has worn it as a shawl. I've not worn it, but at least we have it. It's easier to get when you order the kilt; then you have it if you ever want to use it for yourself or for "herself."

*** Father Bill.
I have two fly plaids. I've yet to wear either one as such -- except for a brief "how's this look?" check in the mirror. My wife and daughters have worn them as shawls. I do plan on wearing one at the upcoming wedding of my daughter in August.

Rob, that's exactly how I use mine... but my Sweetie looks great in it!

I think you should add "one lucky bastard" to your signature line.
