Well it arrived in the post today and was £2.00 well spent. Definitely late Victorian I'd say, silk with lovely metal brocade tassels.
Will post some pics when I get a moment. Until then here's the sett.

Here's a more detailed image. There's a very small are of damage but otherwise the sash is in remarkable condition. It's woven in very fine silk, is some 6 x 100 inches with gold coloured metal filigree tassels. A really good find which I guess is c1880-1915.

Found a similar one on SCRAN. I guess one can speculate that mine would originally also have had the Lodge symbols etc,
