Of course the Tilted Kilt is by its nature a mashup of American stuff with a cheesy Scottish flavour.
This, though, should win some sort of award for the number of different cultures/nationalities mixed together! A girl wearing a tartan skirt and sporran holding an American football on a coupon for "Irish Nachos" (whatever they might be) ... just your ordinary Scottish/American/Irish/Mexican stuff!

This multiculturalism stuff has clearly gone too far! They must be called Irish Nachos, because they hold the Guinness world record for nationalistic mishmash.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Pair those Irish Nachos with some Suntory, and you're really all over the map!
But at least you'll look cool...

I realise your comment was some way back in the thread, but that one would be the nearest one to me as well, and it's not very close.
What you describe has been my experience in pretty much any Irish bar on St. Patrick's Day. Too many people who think wearing a green shirt makes them Irish. Now, I'm not an Irish citizen, but at least I do have Irish blood. All the other people who are 'Irish for a day' are a bit annoying, IMHO.
I suppose if we both went there kilted and could round up one or two others it might be bearable. I'm sure I could force myself to look at the young ladies in their mini-kilts, LOL! But when? St. Patrick's Day is obviously problematic - too bloody busy!

I'd advise National Tartan Day - April 6th. I've been to a few local pubs on that day and found them to be much less overcrowded (and occasionally practically empty).

Call me prudish but I don't care for places with women in skimpy outfits. I might have thought it was great at the age of 15 but by the time I became an adult, and started having real relationships with real women, stuff like that made me cringe a bit.
My local pub, an English pub, is staffed by normally-dressed English people; it carries a great selection of English and Scottish ales, beers, bitters, and stouts; it shows live English Premiership matches. It will continue to be my "local".
BTW on my "kilt" searches on Ebay I came across a Titled Kilt shirt which says "St Patty's Day" on it, which tells me all I need to know.

I am not a prude, and to be perfectly honest my eye is often drawn to a bonnie lass. However, these venues are not my thing because they demean women (whom I generally really like and admire) and cheapen my country's culture.

my friends and I go to one every week for trivia night. I've shown up kilted once or twice, usually the week after we win first place (the week we have $50 in house cash to spend, haha)
The food is ok for pub food but more importantly they have a 25% MILITARY DISCOUNT ON ALL FOOD!!!!

One more great reason to go to TTKs! Maybe, one day I'll get to go.
