    Would two yards of double-width 13oz tartan from Strathmore be suitable for a 4-yard box pleated kilt?

    It would work, though my recommendation for four yard kilts is to use heavy weight (16 oz) cloth. Going with a 13 oz cloth would make for a very light kilt.
