    I still have the old Seneca compund now I got when I was a lad. I'm thinking of selling it (still in pretty good shape) and putting the funds toward a decent longbow. I used to like the compound bow more but as I'm 28 (haven't shot since I was about 13) now the longbow seems more sporting.

    If I'm just shooting to shoot, then I prefer the longbow, but for hunting I gotta go for compound.

    I do have a longbow (obviously not the one in the photos above), but it stayed home, as I hadn't planned any archery that day. I keep meaning to get back into the activity, but other duties (like piobaireachd!) seem to have my schedule filled. Go to to carve out a little time, though.

    I've never hunted (with a bow or otherwise) so target shooting is the only thing I used my bow for.
