    Hi Matt,
I'm curious why you carry size small in the Lewis line, but not in the Glenmore?

Someone needs to wake up Deil the Yin! Matt no longer works for the STM. He was talking about (and even linked in his original post) his own website of http://www.scottishkilthose.com/glenmore.html!

Hey! It's my life and I can live in denial if I want to...

Seriously, though... isn't Matt's site more or less wholesale? I know he sells some stuff through Amazon.com, but the Glenmore page wasn't cooperating last night (or today). I do enjoy supporting the STM whenever I can, though.

Yes, my kilt hose business is a wholesale trade business; you can find a listing of retailers who purchase from me here:
    http://www.scottishkilthose.com/retail.html
(Note this list includes a few X Marks sponsors).

I just announced this new color to my trade clients the day before I announced it here. Some will be faster than others in getting their web sites updated, but I don't hesitate to say if you call or email any of them and ask they will be glad to take your order - and it may inspire them to update the availability on their web sites that much faster! :-)

And thanks, too, for wanting to support the Scottish Tartans Museum - even though I am no longer in their employ, I do still support them as much as I am able.

It's a matter of economy. The great majority of hose that are sold are in sizes M and L. We sell comparatively few S and XL. While our luxury Lewis hose are stocked in all four sizes in a range of twelve different colors, in an effort to keep the more economic Glenmore range as low cost as possible, House of Cheviot is only stocking them in M and L in a smaller range of colors.

For the US market, I have greatly expanded the color range of the Glenmores by having additional colors, such as the dark natural, made special for me to stock here. But given the small percentage of orders in S and XL, it just does not behoove me to have the minimum order requirement of stock in those sizes made up. It can be done, of course, if there was a great need for it. But there would be minimum orders which would apply.
