Silly question, as we are on a kilt forum, but the cut of the jacket has thrown me so do you mean to go with Highland dress or "Saxon" (for want of a better word) dress?
If the later then it would be very much the less formal end of blacktie such as dinner in the country at a friend's ancestral pile.

The jacket is made to measure. It can be had in a length suitable for a kilt.

Certainly unusual and should cause a stir at a "black tie" event. Red tie perhaps?
