I'm a screen printer, and I'll say that just one shirt is going to be pretty expensive. If you have several printed, you can sell them and spread out the screen set-up cost. I also encourage you to use big, bold graphics to catch the eye and make people want to look at you. A simple tartan pattern in your kilt drawing, with "Real Men Get Checked" below it would play on the tartan = plaid = checked thing; sort of a visual pun.
