Padre... I saw that in the paper today as well and thought of some of our Western "cowboy" regions such as Texas (Tobus don't be offended) ... Oops... I'm from cowboy country in Alberta....
Got a good chuckle

My fellow Clan Donald clansman, Chuck (aka MizzouScotsman) showed off a not dissimilar look with his kilt and stetson

I already wear my cowboy hat with the kilt (at 4500 ft. altitude, the sun can be pretty intense). Maybe I'll have to try it with the boots too.

Father Bill, I'll seriously ask a real cowboy if he would wear a kilt, this Sunday at church. I'll be debuting my MacLaren kilt, but will wear a breech-cloth as Moses ordered. Some of my good friends at church are the real thing, never having known any other thing than a working saddle for their vocation, bowed legs, far away look in their eyes.
Just got done visiting a real cowboy who a couple of years ago, when he was loading hay on my truck for a horse he just sold me, ripped the stitches out of his two recently cut-off fingers and just shrugged it off, tying a bandana around the stumps.
My Dad was with me in from the East Coast. Dad grew up on dime cowboy novels, and talks about meeting this real cowboy to this day. The cowboy claims Spanish, Anglo, and Buffalo Soldier ancestry.

Women can pull off the look of cowboy boots without p@nts, but it never looks right on men. Now you might improve upon the look with this sporran:
Hopefully that worked right.

I was on a pipe band trip to the US circa 1978 and when visiting Virginia Highland Games, which I seem to recollect was held in Alexandria; there was a bloke there who claimed some sort of position in a Scottish clan whilst at the same time being the chief (or something like that) of a native Indian clan/tribe.
I can still picture him wearing the kilt, sporran etc. but for headdress he was wearing a native Indian get up/warbonnet with loads and loads of of feathers. Looked quite bizarre.
