I have yet to run into any of the "Kilt Police" but I do get "The Question" quite often. The last time was at my doctor's office for a blood pressure check by the nurse and receptionist, both a little older than me, I just responded that it would have to remain a mystery and we all laughed.

My reply to the question of "what's under there" lately has been to look down and reply, "Why those are socks and boots."

I love that for a follow up answer. It can be fun to be deliberately obtuse when somebody is trying to ask a question they feel is appropriate.

There are so many people that do not understand that answer.. Its pretty obvious I think

If they ask if i will be doing "the Little Dance", I tell them "I am not attired for Dancing".



Now for 'police' who say that my "underkiltie".. the lacy sort of half a slip thing is 'not correct', or 'is not traditional'.. I say that the "silk lined number feels better than the inside edge of a button up shirt.." Which it does.
