    Only because it will work well with the rest of my Highland attire. I only wear a bonnet on occasion, so having one that works with everything is preferable. I have thought of getting one in dark green or navy blue, but not right now.

    Personaly, I'm a fan of plain. Something about dicing comes across as "militant" to me. I also prefer Tams to Balmorals though. Ultimately it's up to you (obviously), but if it's really, really close for you... you can always flip a coin.

    The one my wife made me has light green dicing on a darker green. It doesn't stand out so much but I can go either diced or plain.
