There are currently at least three different Tartan designs sold or advertised as "Colorado".

There is Colorado State, State Seal of Colorado, Colorado district, and even a Colorado Tartan Day Society.

Please make sure that the one you are thinking of is the one you will get.

The wife likes the red/yellow lines with the purple/white lines, I liked the district tartan better, but she trumps my vote

They're all nice. I like the State Seal the best.

D C Dalgliesh is the only place that I know of that will weave short runs, and, as I have said in many other posts, they do a gorgeous job. I've ordered several custom weaves in the past year and been completely happy with all of them. If you want to PM me, I can provide more info.

All the Colorado ones are nice tartans, the red/yellow on blue works very well. Much better than my fathers California tartan

Livingston, if you hear of anyone who'd be interested in splitting a run let me know.

Yeah, I wish I could make it to the Front Range, but alas already have plans... I hope to make it to Aspen this year, keep a look out for a MacIntosh red, that'd be me and the wife.

To make a Tartan "Official" some governing body must say it is.
In the case of the State of Colorado, the State Legislature voted on the 3rd of March 1997, that the Tartan currently carrying the SRT number 713, to be the "Official" Tartan.

Thanks, Steve. Looks like that is the Colorado State Tartan, so you'll be official, Jared.
