JasonMc - I'm 6' 1" tall. As far as the Stillwater wool kilt goes....its a nice kilt, fairly well made. The wool used is not woven as tight/smooth as that from a Scottish weaver, so it has a rougher hand. I think the kilt is worth the asking price. Just don't expect it to fit like a bespoke kilt.
I have a buddy who just bought his first kilt, while looking he fell in love with the Isle of Skye (not what he got) because it reminds him of the Aurora Borealis.
