When we ship internationally, we ship via the post office as it is the least likely to get hit by customs. While I can't say it NEVER gets hit by customs, I will say that the odds are well over 90% that it goes through without any charges.

Thanks Rocky
I thought that maybe it was exempt under NAFTA
Because it was made in the US

Not sure, but even if it is (and we DO label the kilt for customs as made in the US), I wouldn't trust the government to 'get it right' and not charge the customer. That's why we ship USPS.

Hi David!
I recently had a kilt shipped from (ahem) another US kilt seller to me in Canada. Not only was I hit with duty and tax, the 40% on the dollar, and $30 to ship it via Fed Ex, but then Fed Ex charged me over $75 in additional fees (and more tax on the fees) for brokerage and delivering the package without having to pay in advance for the fees and taxes. My $100 kilt quickly became a $250 kilt in the blink of an eye.
That all being said, USA Kilts is great to deal with and I will be ordering from them again myself, soon.

Bolding is mine...
And that's why we ship via US Postal Service for all international shipments.
