I have no problem wearing a kilt, but a leopard print sporran is a bridge to far for me! De gustibus non est disputandum, so I do not find fault in others wearing it, just not for me.

Here for $38 including shipping is a standard pattern of Day sporran, in black.

I know I've seen that stamp, I'll look for it. The auction photo is too fuzzy.

Oh I hear you, a leopard (big cat) print.

Thing is, sporrans with that sort of pattern have been around a long time, here's a vintage one

Usually sporrans have the sorts of mottling or spots seen in the native seals. Not sure what the middle one here is, from 1938

The seal can be somewhat leopard-like

The creatures have all sorts of patterns; I guess it's just what part the sporranmaker decides to use.

Errrr, I don't know how familiar you are with the various breeds of seals that live around the British/Scottish coasts and probably world wide seal populations too, but "leopard type" seal fur is far from unusual and by the looks of those spotted sporrans above, then I would say that they are seal fur.

Thanks for the correction, but even knowing that, it is still not for me.

I quite understand that Dave, I too am not a fan of fur sporrans and just wear a plain black leather sporran for everything.
