So many nice touches, like the bias tartan waistcoat in a smaller set than the kilt, which I've seen in military Mess Dress outfits.

And the really cool vintage sporran. It looks very roomy. I have a white goat sporran with a full pocket body like that.

Though let's face it, when you two arrive at an event the eyes aren't going to be on you

That’s high praise coming from you, thanks! I’ve actually been inspired by your photo collection to make many of the selections that I have over the last few years (including mixing sett sizes).

The sporran is a relatively recent make using a vintage cantle pattern and vintage tassel cones. It’s a full pouch and doesn’t drape quite as well as my white sporran with a “coin pouch” flap. The full pouch is really the bare minimum amount of space to get the wallet, keys and phone out of the house with the outfit.

About sporrans like that, I bought a recently-made goathair sporran (I think by Janet Eagleton) and replaced the existing cantle with a c1930 solid German Silver cantle that came on a horsehair sporran.

The goathair sporran has a fully open extra-big body which holds a ton of stuff. The sporran might be overly ornate but I find myself wearing it due to its sheer capacity.

It's carried two cans of beer at a time into "dry" Highland Games
