Lucky you!
When I visited my dad over Thanksgiving, he mentioned that my old kilt (acquired at age 14) was upstairs in the attic. I'm 49 now, and, uh, not the same shape ;)

Welcome to the forum
Hi all and greetings from San Francisco. Thanks for the welcome.
Fortunately, since my folks were paying for an “heirloom” quality hand sewn kilt for
16-year-old, the sweet old lady who made it used some ingenious sewing tricks and guesstimation, based on my dad’s measurements, to build in extra fabric in case I hit a big growth spurt. Luckily, after having it altered, the length and waist are just right.
