Yeah, that one is going to go for a bit. Even has a long link chain with it.

    Yep.

I put the photos from that Ebay listing into a little Family Portrait.

Some of these had long-link chains too.

The pickins have been slim recently, but this lovely popped up, a traditional brown Day sporran with seal front around $10 currently.

    It's by WE Scott Edinburgh.

BTW there's a modern misconception that putting fur on the front of a Day sporran turns it into a "semi dress" sporran.

Day sporrans were offered with seal fronts from the get-go and are seen in all the early 20th century catalogues. The concept of "semi dress" sporrans didn't appear until around 1980.

Very high-quality Muskrat/Musquash animal mask sporran by L&M Highland Outfitters (Nova Scotia, Canada) for $150 Buy-It-Now.

What would a new one be, $500?

I almost bought one of these back in January when L&M was having their Burns sale, 25% off. I thought the sale was running until the end of the month so I didn't buy it right away. But it ended on the 26th and I missed it, and then kind of forgot about it. I really like it so I think I'll get one now, even if I have to pay full price. I'll ask if they can make one with crossed chains. I really like that, even on semi-dress sporrans. Very classy.
