    Yes I have been using them for a while. Been reducing my waist measurement and was hoping soon that I would not need the hangers.

    Just finished remaking an ex-hire kilt to a smaller size, and was thinking if I moved the loops forward that may help... I may give it a go just to see how it works... just sew them in temporary and if it works, do it permanently.

    ANothe option if using a sporran chain is to hook it over your kilt buckles on each side....

    I do have a kilt with the loops almost on each side and it does help.
    i still prefer my sporran hangers.

    I think your idea makes a lot of sense. Try it, and then post pictures. If you wear the belt outside the loops, it would seem undetectable. Good idea!
