Still a long way away, but thought I'd start early.

So who's going?

I am booked at the Smoketree Lodge for the week of the Games. Looking forward to my first trip to the Mountain. I have camped at some of the other state parks in the area (last millennium when I was in Grad School at UNC).

I and my better half, @carolinanan117, will be there hosting the Clan Sinclair tent. Come by for a wee dram of Old Pulteney and/or some of Nancy's homemade shortbread.

I'll be attending. Received last week my Program and lapel pins for the 70th anniversary. I can't compete with Nancy's shortbread or Allen's Old Pulteney, but I can offer my past Chief's favorite, Jura for a few drams at the Clan MacCallum-Malcolm tent.

Any events at the Games that I need to make sure not to miss? For example, which day to wear the best kilt for a gathering. Not sure how the 8-yarders will do in the North Carolina sun, but I will have my MacDuff Hunting (Lochcarron 16oz).

At Grandfather, we usually have an Xmarks meetup Saturday midday at the Cosca/STA tent(s) next to the main entrance. @Balaamsass51 should be in the Cosca tent, and @Appalachia is usually there, if he attends the Games.

So then I will definitely wear my best kilt for Saturday. Maybe I'll just bring the waistcoat since it will probably be too warm for a tweed jacket.
