WOW, indeed, to receive personal feedback from you, Hamish. The shiny tie was the only so-called "black" one I could find on short notice. And as soon as I finish the jaws and eyes in the badger's face, I'll replace the tail on the sporran with the snarling face. (Maybe that will keep people from wanting to pet it! ...and in public, too!)
Is this where I'm supposed to offer you the other four yards (single width) for a box pleated kilt? As I recall, the remaining piece does not have an unravelling selvedge.

The kilt is made from the one on the left, Weathered Ferguson strome. The one on the right is Weathered MacLaren strome.
