I would recommend the Wallace: I love mine. But of course, it's best to choose the one that is most appealing to you, though I know it can be hard to choose which tartan to get next

I'm wearing my SWK Wallace as I type this! I can't say I've ever been compared to Scotch tape . . . at least, not to my face.

    None of the above

I would start saving my money for a tank.

When I started wearing kilts, I bought several inexpensive ones that just do not compare to an 8 yard, high rise for comfort and fit. The earlier ones spend a lot of time in the closet. I almost never wear them now.

Proud owner of two SWK econo kilts - first was a Black Watch - you cannot go wrong with this one - it is the standard for all kilt bearers. However, my most recent purchase from them was an Irish National kilt - love the tartan. Either way, great e-tailer, outstanding product.

Have you considered the "Night Stalker"? I own this one and the Irish National in the mid-grade. They are great and wear fantastically. The price for the higher quality is well worth it.

Based on past reviews of the economy vs standard, I'd recomend that you wait till you can save the extra $30 for a standard (NS or BW or what ever). Christmas is coming, maybe it can be your present. I have only seen the economy once at a festival, but the standard is so much nicer and still relatively inexpensive.

however of the three I'd probably go with Wallace.
