I'll agree with thescot's mindset on Braveheart. It IS a great story, and there is history in there... costumes aside. This could prompt a more inquisitive mind to go and read up on the actual history, which is never a bad thing.
Rob Roy is a good one too... I love the musical score (the Liam Neeson film. He tends to pop up in a lot of "sword movies"). I remember seeing a much older Rob Roy movie, when I was much younger. My parents had it, but I cannot for the life of me find it, or remember who made it. I almost want to say Disney, but I don't think they ever touched it. It might have been PAL format, from when we were living over there... I wish my memory could stretch a little father back.
Anyone dig "The Wicker Man"? "This is Spinal Tap" anyone?
