The waistcoat was a gift from my lovely wife who bought it from my friend Jon over at Highland Warmth (now part of his new venture TWRF Creative). I believe it was a special order.

It's a wool vest from Scotland in the Galbraith modern tartan. It's not a kilt vest. I just folded the bottom of the vest (including the last button) up and took two small safety pins to hold it in place. Voila' instant kilt vest and one that goes right back to being a regular waistcoat afterwards.
The dark green matches the kilt perfectly. I am really pleased with the whole outfit.
