    What about a cheap temporary kilt? If you were here in the US, I'd reccomend a Stillwater economy, as a "transitional" kilt. For the price, they're outstanding (about $50US delivered, I think). I'm sure that people on the Continent can scare up a decent off the peg acrylic kilt. It might not suit you like a handmade wool kilt, but it could get you through the weight losing time, and then give you time to make sure your weight has stabilized before you invest in a custom kilt again.

    I agree with the Kid on this . I have gone from a 49 to a 42. I have 12 kilts in various sizes. Stillwater has been a great boon to me. Stillwater offers great value for your hardearned money. If you continue your weightloss I would order the next size down and go for it! Yahoo!
