My wife and I went to see him perform with the Cincinnati Symphony last week (he's not in the Symphony, he sings with the Cincinnati May Festival Choir), and then we met up for a drink (he got us the tickets). He's not posting much due to some moderator issues, but I think he's lurking a bit.

Poem for Rex
Rex is still in Cincinnati
and he’s still making the scene
Out and about, dressing natty
seeing it all with vision keen
Wonder where he has got to ?
You wonder where he went?
Or what he has been through?
Well Rex is still a gent
He’s at the clubs shining brightly
At the ballet, seeing the show
At the party laughing loudly
Rex Tremende is good to go
He is still his own man
With his big booming voice
He will do what he can
Because it’s still his choice
And a gentleman has his pride
And a man’s reasons are his own
It was up to Rex to decide
To stay or to head out alone
Let us wish the man well
A class act all the way!
Who amongst us could tell
If he’ll come back to stay
So Rex is in Cincinnati
And he’s still making the scene
Out and about, dressing natty
Seeing it all with vision keen
-See it there, a white plume
Over the battle - A diamond in the ash
Of the ultimate combustion-My panache

I too have wondered about him. Glad that he is OK.
Yes people come and go and come again. Isn't that life in general?

Be well,

Tremende-ous to see you back Rex!
And Panache I couldn't help but give in to my rhyming bent in a similar vein:
Rex Tremende from Cincinnati
A man of culture and of style
With dress sense smart and never tatty
His posts to Xmarks make us smile.
I believe Ohioans pronounce it Cincinnata, all the ones I have met seem to?
