Spencer is an English and not Scottish family. The seat of the Spencers is Althorp in Northamptonshire.
These coats are not then "spencer coats" but some "Spencer and Tracy branded" coats? Spencer coats are open coats, often without buttons, cut at the waistline. What are these?
