I would be interested as well. I have three separate Black Watch Tartan articles (two kilts and a flyplaid) and looking closely at the Stillwater site for a clear picture of the tartan it looks the same as these three. There seem to be a varying range of colors. The colors in the wool of my Black Watch economy kilt from the Celtic Croft are more mmuted and seem to blend in with each other so the black stripe is very difficult to discern while the scottish handsewn one is very bright and distinct. The SWK seems to fall somewhere between in terms of these colors values (but that could also just be my monitor. Also I thought that the size of the sett is always going to be different depending on the weaver. Is this maybe the difference?
