Help on waistcoat

I have to agree that a waist coat isn't the best choice for semi-formal events...

BUT! It can look very nice.

Here is a picture of my Christmas outfit



This isn't a kilt vest. I just turned the two corners up and pinned them to the underside of the vest with two very small safety pin to create a sporran cutaway. One button and button hole were concealed this way.

Here is a picture of of Monkey@Arms and I from our Burns' Night Supper. He couldn't afford an Argyle but was able to get a proper kilt waistcoat. I think you will agree he looks rather sharp.



I personally think that a watch chain adds a certain je na sais quoi to the vest.
