she's irrelevant.
You wear your kilt when you feel like it, do your job well and hold your head high.
Thanks guys! I just needed to vent, particularly since all the other reactions have been VERY positive.

I have the same situation in my office with one of the higher ups (technically we're on the same line of the org chart but he's been here MUCH longer than me). He thinks he's being funny but I finally told him that if he wants to poke fun at a national symbol of my heritage and upbringing, I'm sure I could make a few dumb Polack jokes at his expense as well (he's of Polish ancestry and quite proud of it).
He never did it again.

...or you could point out that Bonnie Prince Charlie's mum was a Polish Princess:

...so ya got that goin' for ya'...which is nice...
Not to mention the large number of Poles who went to Scotland as refugee's from the events of the Second World War and who have found permanent homes there:

Great thread, and glad that you've had mostly positive responses. What building do you work in downtown? And hopefully you don't have to walk far to parking. The wind blowing through the streets can be a pain...if you know what I mean. I don't make it downtown kilted often, but when I do, it's a constant battle to keep private things private.
